The 29-year-old was charged with criminal homicide in the shooting death of 27-year-old Maurice Owens at 1609 Hampton Street.Owens' body was found
inside a wrecked pickup truck on a ramp on Interstate 65 on January 7. Police
originally believed his body had been dumped. After an investigation,
police determined Owens had been shot inside the Hampton Street home and a
friend had wrecked while driving Owens to the hospital. Police responded to the
wrecked vehicle and transported Owens to Skyline Medical Center where he died.
