It's been two years since Charlotte
Barbour lost her 24-year-old daughter Shari Cartmell. Police believe
Shari was shot and killed by her husband, Deon Cartmell, who was a Metro officer at the time. Barbour said, "It's settling in with me and her sister and
the rest of my family that Shari's gone and that justice is going to be
served." Investigators said Shari was shot in the head inside the home
she shared with her husband on the afternoon of March 16.The Police Department decommissioned Deon Cartmell after the shooting, while they Investigated. This week, a grand jury indicted Cartmell charging him
with first-degree murder.
