Two people were shot overnight and one person was found dead later Tuesday morning after an argument turned violent. Just after midnight on 17th Avenue North, police said some sort of altercation broke out in front of
a home. Someone opened fire and hit three people.Maurice Darrington 31, was taken to Vanderbilt in critical condition. Jaterrian McGuire, 28, said he was just walking down the street when he was shot. McGuire was taken to Metro General, and he was expected to be okay. Cedric Teasley, 27, was also fatally shot. A resident of a home on Century Street found Teasley's body on a side porch around 7 a.m. Police said
that robbery was considered a possible motive for the shootings, although other motives have not been ruled out.
