 SWAT officers assigned to the Special Response Team this morning arrested
convicted felon Antonie Lamont Howse for the October 2004 murder of a man at
43rd Avenue North & Albion Street.
 Donrico Orlando Waters, 31, was
fatally wounded in the street between 11:30 p.m. and midnight on October 23,
2004. Renewed investigative work by Homicide/Cold Case Detectives Hugh Coleman and Lee Freeman led to the identification of Howse, 42, as the gunman. The Davidson County Grand Jury this month returned a sealed
indictment against Howse on a charge of first-degree murder The homicide is believed to have been motivated by a lingering dispute between Howseand Waters. Howse was convicted of felony cocaine possession in 2008 and received an eight-year sentence. He was arrested this morning without incident in South  ashville.
