2008-On Saturday night, Trevino Rawlings, 19, was playing with a pistol in the
Charter Village Apartments on Rio Vista Drive. Police say they weren't drinking  or anything like that. Rawlings handed the pistol to 18-year-old Quvando Beddingfield. The circumstances haven't exactly been nailed down yet, but  Beddingfield pulled the trigger, shooting Rawlings in the mouth. He died from  the wound. Like me, you may be wondering why  it's being investigated as a homicide. Sounds like two dumb kids playing with a  gun that accidentally discharged. Involuntary manslaughter or reckless homicide at best. And that could actually be true. But if these guys were friends, that  friendship had limits. Here's why it's now considered a homicide: Beddingfield and several others present at the shooting hauled Rawlings' body into a red Chevy Impala, where paramedics and police found him after a neighbor called 911.
