 A family in North Nashville is speaking out about the unsolved murder of
their son. He was killed almost two years ago after an argument. 27-year-old Demetrius Riley was gunned down in the middle of a street. The victim's mother and father spoke to NewsChannel 5 about their quest for  justice in the case. Rodney and Cora Riley miss their son. "It  hurts. I mean it hurts every day. I had to see a psychiatrist and  everything because I couldn't deal with it it's something I still can't you  know," said Cora.Someone gunned down and killed Demetrius Riley on  Richmond Hill Drive in October 2009. It happened in the middle of the afternoon
just a few minutes after Rodney and Cora had talked to him. They had  left him at his girlfriend's house and expected to see him later. "We drove off and get to the house and I put my key in the door and got a phone call  and said you need to get back over there as soon as possible because your son  just got killed," said Rodney. "His friend said he was getting ready to  go and when he made it down, halfway down the street he said he heard some  gunshots and he turned around and he said D was laying across the street," Cora  explained. Metro Police say the 27-year-old had been in an argument with  several men. Witnesses told police they chased him before shooting him. His parents said he was shot 5 times. "I don't know what happened. He didn't
say anybody was after him. I don't know," Cora said.

"It happened around
2 or 2:30 in the afternoon. Somebody saw something. Whatever the little bit they
saw could help," Rodney added.

Police said three people were involved,
but so far there have been no arrests. Rodney and Cora are taking care of
Demetrius' son. He was born after the murder.

His name is Justice, in
memory of his father.

Demetrius' mother said she wants her son's killers
to get the death penalty. His father said life in jail will suffice as long as
the men responsible are off the street.
